Trained as clinical neuropsychologist, CBT psychotherapist (and others), I am currently a lecturer at the University of Sussex, in which I lead the Reality Bending Lab 🧙 (ReBeL), where we study the neurophysiological underpinnings of reality perception. I’m fluent in French, English, Polish, Python, and can order food in Italian. My main figures of reference are Marcus Aurelius, Sisyphus and Yoda. My interests include scientific methodology, history of art and religion, and philosophy. My research focuses on aspects of reality bending (e.g., fiction, deception, fake news, illusions, and altered states of consciousness such as through meditation or immersion). I also try to improve the access to advanced analysis techniques by developing open-source software and tools.
